Meet The Dealer
Based in Scottsville, Kentucky, Marine Parts Warehouse has been providing high quality new, used, and remanufactured outboard parts for over 50 years. Owner Chris Whiteside spent much of his childhood building and repairing engines with his dad, who founded what is now Marine Parts Warehouse. Through adulthood, Chris and his brother Brian worked tirelessly to ensure their father’s creation lived on, maintaining the standards and principles it was initially built upon. Speaking with the employees, it’s clear that they succeeded. One of Chris’s employees, Adam Leverette, has been in the boating industry for almost a decade as the Operations Manager at Marine Parts Warehouse. When asked what sets Marine Parts Warehouse apart from the competition, Adam explained,
“I think it’s our people here, the knowledge and experience that exists in this building, and the genuine desire to be helpful. When you deal with us, you’re not just going to get someone who’s trying to sell you something. You’re talking to someone who’s trying to help you, and those are two very different conversations.”
The Distinct Difference
Through his eight years with the company, Adam has interacted with a multitude of distributors, but he recalls that from the beginning, one stood out to him. His first few interactions with OBR painted a clear picture of why Marine Parts Warehouse had continued its relationship with them for all these years.
“We clearly had a strong relationship… I could tell right off the bat that with them it was different… It was the customer service aspect; everyone was super nice and always there to meet our needs,” Adam recalled.
Responsible for many of the warranty claims at Marine Parts Warehouse, Adam has a strong working relationship with most of the staff at OBR, but Brandon Nicholson is the staff member he has worked with most frequently. Adam praised Brandon’s professionalism, honesty, and altruism when handling customers, even if they aren’t his directly.
“I appreciate Brandon a lot. I know he’s gonna be honest with me while at the same time going out of his way to take care of our customers,” Adam said.
A Partnership Built On Trust
Adam explained that customers rely on Marine Parts Warehouse because of their reliable inventory spanning a variety of products. “It makes our lives easier when we can trust the quality of what we’re selling. For a long time, that’s been something we can trust – the products that OBR makes.”
